Daniela's Story: Virtual Script Development Internship

This is Daniela!

Daniela is a passionate filmmaker and writer obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Film Art at Emerson College & Paris College of Arts GBFA. With her passion in film and media, she joined the ArtBound Initiative program and landed a virtual internship with Gunpowder & Sky!

Could you describe what your day-to-day looks like as an intern for Gunpowder & Sky?

My daily routine regarding my internship would mostly be me allotting time shortly after waking up to do things such as research, string-out creation, and reviewing footage. Throughout the day, I would send my supervisor updates on my progress.

What was your favorite part about your internship?

My supervisor was eager for me to experience myself with aspects of development that I was not at all experienced with, and encouraged me to try tasks using mediums I wasn't familiar with. I did a lot of video editing, something I don't usually enjoy doing, but I found that the practice offered to me really helped me ease up in regards to post-production!

Did your internship meet your expectations and how will it impact your career goals?

Yes! I think that Gunpowder & Sky has given me a very solid look at what corporate careers will look like in my desired industry, which is fuelling a desire to go looking for more internships to gather more experience!

How did ArtBound Initiative help you the most?

ArtBound taught me what the best questions would be to ask, and what the processes might be for professional interactions and behavior from an intern's perspective!

My internship has given me a very solid look at what corporate careers will look like in my desired industry!
