Astrid's Story: Creative Development Internship in New York
This is Astrid!
Astrid is a graduate of Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana from Honduras. As a digital animation and interactive design student, she wanted to expand her skills and decided to join the ArtBound Initiative program. She landed a Creative Development Internship at Baboon Animation, a production studio founded by a DreamWorks alumnus that produces work for worldwide animation studios.
Can you describe your Creative Development Internship at Baboon Animation?
I was involved in various areas during my Creative Development Internship. Art, audio, and transcription were the primary areas I contributed to. I worked on character designs, synchronized character audio, and transcribed episodes for different shows they were working on.

How has this experience helped you professionally?
I think it will help me in many aspects of my career. I got to know more about the industry, learn how to deal with tough deadlines, and work with big clients who need things done quickly. Learning to work under pressure is something I can say has fulfilled my expectations.
What did ArtBound Initiative help you with the most?
ArtBound has been a great support. The content I received before starting my internship was very helpful, and my program coordinator's support throughout the internship process was truly appreciated.
Everything worked out great with Artbound Initiative, I can't regret any aspect of it. ArtBound Initiative is a really great program.
