studied at Minneapolis Community and Technical College majoring in Environmental Science. Oscar interned in Berlin with Artist Erik Schmidt in the Fall of 2021.

I had the pleasure of interning for painter Erik Schmidt. My responsibilities were cleaning brushes, photographing paintings, as well as building, stretching, and priming canvases. I was also able to sketch outlines for Erik to later paint over. I also had the opportunity of working with Floating University and was a participating artist at Berliner Festspiele on their behalf.

Connections are the most important facet of this industry and, through this program, I've made more than I can count. Not only have I started forming a network internationally but I gained first-hand experience I don't think I would've found on my own.

My experience with ABI molded a solid base to start my career. The best aspect of it all is that they simplified things that seemed out of reach for me.
