ABI Profile: Liz

LIZ

studied at Toronto Metropolitan University majoring in Fashion Communication. Liz then landed an internship at Jeshkelanger & Katharina Forster as a Design Intern.

I had the chance to work with 2 different internships; artist Katharina Forster and the artist duo Jeschkelanger Studio. With my diverse background in graphic design, my weekly tasks included; creating posters for events, content creation for social media and, editing videos as well as cleaning up photos, graphic design needs for creative assets, and daily studio tasks like organizing the space.

Berlin is a very exciting city for creatives, with tons of art galleries, non-stop events and a general atmosphere of creative freedom. There is never a dull moment.

I learned a ton about myself and gained a lot within my own identity as a creative person. Interning in a different country and new environment is a really exciting way to build up your professional skills, because people might have a different way of communicating or work ethics in general. In the end, it makes you a stronger candidate for future endeavors.

ABI gave me an incredible amount of support throughout this journey. I feel a lot more confident in myself & my skills as a designer. I can't wait for the next chapter of my career!
