ABI Profile: Moon

MOON

is an animator from Vietnam, based in Melbourne who holds a Master of Arts in Animation, Games and Interactivity Design at RMIT. She did an internship in New York at The Studio NYC in Spring of 2020.

I was placed in the STUDIO, an animation production company in the middle of Manhattan. As an intern, I was assigned to work on an animatic of a 5-minute animation under the supervision of the CEO and the creative director. I also assisted in refining and making illustration assets for animation and motion graphics such as: Advertising videos, and instagram posts.

Having an experience in New York helps strengthen my resume as well as my problem solving skills, straight forward communication and instant delivery tasks. It also helps build up diversity knowledge about the animation industry globally and different demands and requirements in different areas. This will benefit my career if I wanna work in another country other than Australia.

ABI has been very supportive and proactive in giving advice and manages not only my well being but also mentally. Especially in helping and advising an international student like me in paperwork for Visa (and other extremely detailed logistic) and building up my folio before approaching the profession industry.
