BAILEY

is a visual artist based in Baton Rouge who holds a BA in Fine Art from The University of the South. She has since completed her summer internship with artist, Erik Schmidt, and Decad art gallery in Berlin.

"I was placed with the artist Erik Schmidt and Decad art gallery in Berlin. For the gallery, I had shifts gallery sitting and explaining the artwork to visitors, and I assisted in a gallery opening. For Erik Schmidt, I helped around the studio to get it ready for him to begin painting, helped with setting up an exhibition, and worked on some under-paintings."

"ArtBound gave me the opportunity to go to Europe, meet new people, and get a very good look into the art world. The most helpful thing about it was their support in placement and then with having a support system of team members and other interns to meet there."
